Mitsubishi Chemical Group Corporation (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, President: Manabu Chikamoto) has been selected as a component of the DJSI World Index, a global index for ESG investments, for eight consecutive years. At the same time, it has also been selected again this year as a component of the DJSI Asia Pacific Index (Note 1), continuing from last year.
DJSI is the sustainability stock index of S&P Global Inc. in the USA, which selects companies that excel in sustainability based on their economic, environmental, and social evaluations. This year's DJSI World Index has selected 321 companies as components from approximately 3,500 major companies worldwide.
The results this time are considered to be a high evaluation of the various initiatives the group has implemented from an ESG perspective under the purpose of "We will lead the realization of KAITEKI, which continues the comfort of people, society, and the Earth with innovative solutions."
