The US stock market continues to decline. The Dow average closed at 42,573.73 dollars, down 418.48 dollars, and the NASDAQ fell 235.24 points to 19,486.79. Profit-taking sales for the end of the year continued, and after getting close, there was a sharp decline. Concerns about the economy also surfaced due to the deterioration of the Chicago Purchasing Department Association Economic Index in December, and continued to decline. At the same time, a cautious outlook for next year's market price also surfaced due to a retreat in interest rate cuts, and sales became dominant due to adjustments, and it remained soft throughout the day. The decline in long-term interest rates and the rise in the semiconductor NVDA (NVDA) became support, and the market price narrowed towards the end of the market and ended.

The dollar and yen rose to 157 yen 64 yen in the New York foreign exchange market on the 30th, then fell to 156 yen 67 yen and closed at 156 yen 80 yen. The US-December Chicago Purchasing Department Association Business Index deteriorated against improvement expectations from November, and dollar sales became dominant as US bond yields declined, and risk-averse yen buying strengthened along with stock depreciation. After that, the US December Dallas Fed Manufacturing Activity Index improved to an unexpected positive level, and the decline stopped as stock prices recovered. The euro dollar fell from $1.0452 to $1.0372 and closed at $1.0401. In response to dovish statements in interviews with European Central Bank (ECB) senior officials, euro sales became dominant due to European interest rate anew.
