According to the Zhiyuan Finance APP, regulatory documents released on Tuesday show that Tesla (TSLA.US) will recall some China-made Model 3 and Model Y electric vehicles produced between September 28, 2021, and November 22, 2024, totaling 77,650 units.
This recall is due to a software issue, where in certain cases the vehicle fails to immediately display the detected Tire Pressure Monitoring system fault after startup, posing a safety risk.
Tesla will upgrade the software for vehicles within the recall range for free using Over-The-Air (OTA) technology, and for vehicles that cannot be upgraded via OTA, service centers will contact users to execute the recall.
At the same time, this American electric vehicle manufacturer will also recall 63 imported Model S and Model X vehicles in China due to issues with the driver’s front airbag.
Furthermore, Tesla will announce its fourth-quarter delivery data this Thursday. Analysts predict the delivery volume to be approximately 0.51 million vehicles, slightly below the company’s target of 0.515 million vehicles.
Tesla's stock price fell by 3.3% on Monday, marking the third consecutive Trading day of decline.
