Walgreens Earnings Are Imminent; These Most Accurate Analysts Revise Forecasts Ahead Of Earnings Call

Walgreens Boots Alliance, Inc. (NASDAQ:WBA) will release earnings results for its fiscal year 2025 first quarter, before the opening bell on Thursday, Jan. 9, 2025.

Analysts expect the Deerfield, Illinois-based company to report quarterly earnings at 40 cents per share, down from 66 cents per share in the year-ago period. Walgreens projects to report revenue of $37.37 billion for the recent quarter, compared to $36.71 billion a year earlier, according to data from Benzinga Pro.

According to a recent Wall Street Journal report, Walgreens has been discussing a deal with Sycamore Partners in which Walgreens would sell itself to the private-equity firm and pull the pharmacy chain from public markets.

Walgreens shares fell 3.7% to close at $9.26 on Monday.
