William Li said Nio's single-month deliveries exceeded 30,000 units for the first time in December. The company is expected to announce specific figures in a few hours.
Nio (NYSE: NIO) founder, chairman, and CEO William Li has revealed the company's rough delivery numbers for December, ahead of an official announcement.
In December, Nio Inc exceeded 30,000 units delivered in a single month for the first time, Li said today in a short video posted to Weibo.
Nio is expected to announce December deliveries in a few hours. It delivered 20,575 vehicles in November, the seventh consecutive month above the 20,000 mark.
Its local peer Xpeng (NYSE: XPEV) delivered 36,695 vehicles in December, and Li Auto (NASDAQ: LI) delivered 58,513, both record highs, according to figures released earlier today.
Nio previously guided for fourth-quarter vehicle deliveries to be in the range of 72,000 to 75,000, meaning it will need to deliver at least 30,449 vehicles in December to meet the guidance.
Responding to a question from CnEVPost in a media meetup on December 12, Li said the company was confident it would meet its fourth-quarter deliveries guidance, with more than 30,000 units to be delivered in December.
Nio's 3,000th battery swap station in China will go live on January 3, Li said in the video.
Li is on a business trip to the cold northeast of China on the first day of 2025, and will take on the challenge of completing 2,200 kilometers of driving with the support of Nio's own charging and battery swap facilities.
His four-day trip will see him visit owners in Dalian, Shenyang, Changchun and Harbin today and tomorrow.
On January 3, Li will witness the launch of Nio's 3,000th battery swap station in China in Harbin, the capital of Heilongjiang province.
Nio currently has 2,995 battery swap stations in China, 949 of which are located along highways.
Li will travel to the northernmost city of China, Mohe, which has the lowest winter temperatures in the country. He will examine the real-world experience of Nio's vehicles in the cold.
