The Zhitong Finance App learned that Xinte Energy (01799) fell by more than 4%. As of press release, it was down 3.87% to HK$7.2, with a turnover of HK$12.7894 million.
According to the news, on December 24, the Shanghai Stock Exchange terminated its main board issuance and listing review due to the withdrawal of the listing application by Xinte Energy and its sponsor. According to reports, Xinte Energy originally planned to raise 8.8 billion yuan to build a high-end electron-grade polysilicon green low-carbon circular economy construction project with an annual output of 0.2 million tons through the issuance of A-shares. The first phase of the 0.1 million ton project was completed and put into operation in August 2023 using the company's own funds. Combined with the current upstream and downstream supply and demand relationships and market environment in the PV industry chain, there is no construction plan for the second 0.1 million ton project.
According to Xinte Energy's results for the first three quarters of 2024, the company achieved revenue of 16.462 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 29.12%, and a net loss of 1.405 billion yuan to shareholders. The agency pointed out that the polysilicon industry suffered serious losses, and major manufacturers voluntarily complied with industry self-regulation to begin production cuts and maintenance in order to optimize the industry's supply and demand pattern. As of December 26, 2024, the national polysilicon operating rate was only 35%. Considering that the southwest region generally enters a period of abundant water in May/June of the following year, it is expected that production will be difficult to recover in the first quarter.
