Monthly lidar delivery surpasses 0.1 million mark, HSAI.US (HSAI.US) rises more than 16%
Overnight, the stock price of the US stock market continued to soar 16%, and the stock price quadrupled in three months.
Hesai announced on December 30 that in December 2024, the number of lidar deliveries exceeded 100,000 units, making it the first lidar company in the world to deliver more than 0.1 million units in a single month.
Hesai delivered more than 20,000 lidars to the robotics market in a single month, covering various fields such as mobile robots, delivery robots, cleaning robots, and mowing robots.
Great Wall Securities said that as domestic and foreign manufacturers continue to raise their awareness of the importance of lidar in intelligent driving, lidar may usher in large-scale application.
SPDB International released a research report saying that Chinese lidar manufacturers are latecomers first, and the automotive application market is leading the way.
On the one hand, Chinese manufacturers were the first to launch vehicles in 2022, and their share of revenue and shipment volume in 2023 has already had an overwhelming advantage; moreover, overseas suppliers have further lost targeted projects due to slow mass production. Hesai and Suteng have won nearly 80% of the world's fixed-point cooperation, laying a solid foundation for the basic shipping volume within the next 2-3 years. On the other hand, the potential market size of the industry provides sufficient room for both leading players to expand, and the two leading lidar manufacturers are still in a good competitive position in the industry.
