Apple (AAPL.US) announced new features for the Fitness+ streaming fitness service on Friday, including new programs such as strength, pickleball, yoga, and breathing meditation, and established a new partnership with Strava.

Apple said the new features will be available on iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV starting January 6 (next Monday).
Fitness+ is also partnering with Strava to bring new integrations to the Strava app experience, while also providing a special Fitness+ trial service for Strava users. Famous athletes from the Strava community will appear as guests in training.
“Fitness+ is designed to support everyone's unique fitness and wellness journey, providing enjoyable and motivating exercises, meditations, and programs that make it easy for people to stay energized and focused,” said JayBlahnik, vice president of technology at Apple Fitness.
Fitness+ now also offers training programs for strength, endurance, and agility in pickleball, with coaches including professional pickleball champion Catherine Parenteau, who is number one in the world in both singles and doubles matches.
Meanwhile, the “Artist Focus” series returns. The series will create a complete playlist of fitness classes for individual artists, and the new fitness classes will use music from some of the world's biggest stars. Upcoming guest artists include Janet Jackson (January 13), Coldplay (January 20), Bruno Mars (January 27), and Kendrick Lamar (February 3).
