Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim officially launched the Visit Malaysia 2026 (VM2026) logo, setting a goal of attracting 35.6 million tourists to the country. The campaign, he said, would highlight Malaysia as a unique, sustainable, and harmonious destination, showcasing its rich multi-cultural heritage.

Speaking at the launch, Anwar emphasised that VM2026 would not only focus on promoting tourism but would also emphasise sustainability and high-yield returns from the sector. This aligns with Malaysia's broader objectives of growing the tourism industry while ensuring its long-term viability and environmental responsibility.

In a related announcement, Tourism Minister Tiong King Sing revealed that more partners would join the campaign in the coming months. These partnerships, he said, would focus on strategic cooperation with Tourism Malaysia to ensure the success of the campaign and make Malaysia a top travel destination for 2026.

The VM2026 campaign is seen as a major step forward for Malaysia in the competitive global tourism industry, offering a fresh opportunity to showcase its diverse cultural offerings while fostering sustainable growth in the sector.
