Yiwei, the electric vehicle (EV) unit of Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Group (JAC), has signed a new agreement with CATL to build new models based on the battery giant's skateboard chassis.
作为安徽江淮汽车集团(JAC)电动汽车(EV)部门的Yiwei,与电池巨头CATL签署了一项新协议,基于CATL的滑板底盘构建新车型。
The two signed the agreement on January 3 in Ningde, Fujian province, where CATL is headquartered, in the presence of Xiang Xingchu, chairman and general manager of JAC, and Robin Zeng, chairman and CEO of CATL, according to an announcement from Yiwei today.

The agreement complements and deepens a strategic cooperation agreement signed by the two on January 6, 2024, when they determined that they would build new models based on CATL's CIIC (CATL Integrated Intelligent Chassis) skateboard chassis, Yiwei said.
