Midac Holdings <6564> is a pure holding company of a corporate group aiming to establish a circular society through the proper handling of waste. The name "Midac" is derived from the initials of "water", "earth", and "air", which symbolize the environment. The company is committed to passing on the invaluable Earth in its beautiful state to the next generation and is striving to be a group that creates an environment and provides solution services related to waste treatment and management for business operators.
As of the end of the interim period in March 2025, the group consists of the pure holding company (head office: Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture), consolidated subsidiary Midac Co., Ltd. (head office: Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture), Midac Liner Co., Ltd. (head office: Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture), Sanko Co., Ltd. (head office: Kasugai City, Aichi Prefecture), Midac Konan Co., Ltd. (head office: Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture), Enshu Crushed Stone (head office: Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture), Friend Sanitary (head office: Tsu City, Mie Prefecture), non-consolidated subsidiary LOVE THY NEIGHBOR Co., Ltd. (location: Setagaya Ward, Tokyo), Iwawara Fruit Farm Co., Ltd. (location: Hokuto City, Yamanashi Prefecture), and equity method applied related company Green Circular Factory Co., Ltd. (head office: Takasaki City, Gunma Prefecture, a joint venture with Yamada Holdings <9831> holding a 40% stake). The total assets on a consolidated basis are 27,364 million yen, net assets are 13,760 million yen, equity ratio is 50.2%, number of shares outstanding is 27,773,500 shares (including treasury stock of 115,322 shares), and the number of employees is 403 (including temporary hires).
2. History
The company was established in April 1952 in Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, with the purpose of engaging in general waste handling operations, under the name "Kojima Cleaning Company", which is the predecessor of the current Midac Holdings. In 1964, it was incorporated as Kojima Cleaning Co., Ltd. with the aim of improving social credibility. Since then, the company has expanded its business by also engaging in the collection, transportation, and disposal of industrial waste. In July 1996, the trade name was changed to "Midac", in September 2021, it changed to "Midac Holdings", and in April 2022, it transitioned to a holding company system. The company is also actively utilizing M&A for business expansion, having fully acquired Enshu Crushed Stone in July 2023 and Friend Sanitary in September of the same year.
In regard to Stocks, the company was listed on the Nagoya Stock Exchange (hereinafter, Nagoya Stock Exchange) Second Section in December 2017, on the Tokyo Stock Exchange (hereinafter, TSE) Second Section in December 2018, on the First Sections of TSE and Nagoya in December 2019, and transitioned to the TSE Main Board and Nagoya Premier Market in April 2022 due to market reorganization.
