In terms of contributions to the Nikkei average, TDK <6762>, Fast Retailing <9983>, and Tokyo Marine <8766> are among the top negative contributors, while Advantest <6857>, Tokyo Electron <8035>, and Recruit HD <6098> are among the top positive contributors. In sector performance, Insurance, Other Financing Business, Securities and Commodity Futures, Real Estate, and Other Products are among those with the highest declines, while Marine Transportation, Precision Instruments, Nonferrous Metals, Warehousing and Transportation, and Mining are among those with the highest increases.
The Nikkei average is showing little movement. In the USA, the ADP National Employment Report for December and the consumer credit balance for November will be released tonight.
