The humanoid robot field is seeing bullish developments again, as Musk hinted that updates to Optimus may come in the next few weeks, and predicted that production will increase tenfold each year over the next two years.

Recently, during a game live streaming event, Musk stated that there may be updates to Optimus in the coming weeks, and that progress is going well, with the team performing excellently. Furthermore, Musk mentioned that by about the second quarter of 2025, FSD will be safer than human drivers.

Musk stated at the Tesla Shareholder meeting in June 2024 that Optimus would undergo a "major Hardware overhaul" from late 2024 to early 2025 and that it would enter limited production in 2025, with over 1,000 Optimus robots possibly trial running in factories at that time.

At the CES 2025, major manufacturers intensively released humanoid robot products, and NVIDIA's founder Jensen Huang stated that the era of humanoid robots is about to arrive.
