Lawyer Dot Com <6027> operates Japan's first legal consultation portal "Lawyer Dot Com", Japan's first web-based electronic contract service "Cloud Sign", Japan's first tax consultation portal "Tax Accountant Dot Com", and Japan's first corporate legal portal "Business Lawyers".

The main service, "Cloud Sign", is a cloud-based electronic contract service that can handle everything from contract conclusion to contract document management. It allows for contract conclusion by simply having the other party approve the uploaded completed contract, without requiring the document recipient to register for Cloud Sign. There are advantages in speed up of contract conclusion and cost reduction, and it can be used for free up to 3 contract transmission per user per month. The paid plan includes a fixed fee and a charge of 200 yen per transmission. Cloud Sign is being adopted primarily by large enterprises and local governments, with 245 out of 364 local governments having already implemented Cloud Sign (approximately 70% share).

"Lawyer Dot Com" is a platform that connects general users with lawyers. It provides services that make it easier for users to connect with lawyers based on free legal consultations and detailed information about lawyers. It has approximately 8.99 million monthly site visitors and an overwhelming database with about 1.38 million cumulative legal consultations. With 28,227 registered lawyers, its share of domestic lawyers is 62%, and the number of paid registered lawyers is 14,479 (as of the first half of the fiscal year ending March 2025). Additionally, the service for lawyers includes "Case Law Secretary" and "Legal Revolution." "Case Law Secretary" is used by all judges and prosecutors and holds an overwhelming share among the legal community including lawyers. "Legal Revolution" supports the transformation to a business style that efficiently utilizes digital documents. Furthermore, the media "Lawyer Dot Com News", which focuses on lawyer commentary on current issues, has a unique positioning combining law and news and attracts approximately 7.28 million monthly visitors. "Tax Accountant Dot Com" has about 0.64 million monthly site visitors and is one of Japan's largest tax consultation portal sites. "Business Lawyers" has around 0.46 million monthly site visitors and is one of Japan's largest corporate legal portal sites.

For the first half of the fiscal year ending March 2025, cumulative revenue was 6,691 million yen, a 35.3% increase year-on-year, EBITDA increased by 19.9% to 919 million yen, and operating profit decreased by 0.9% to 545 million yen. The company-wide ARR was 11,200 million yen (up 38.3% year-on-year), with recurring business steadily increasing. The second quarter saw an increase in revenue centered on Cloud Sign. New acquisitions of paid companies for Cloud Sign were favorable, and trends of upgrades from the free plan to the paid plan are on the rise, surpassing 100 paid companies for Cloud Sign reviews. Although Lawyer Dot Com experienced a decrease in revenue quarter-on-quarter, the cross-selling of Case Law Secretary and Lawyer Dot Com Library seems to be progressing well. Due to pricing revisions for Cloud Sign and Lawyer Dot Com, as well as delays in conference revenue, an acceleration of revenue growth is expected in the latter half. Full-year revenue is planned to increase by 30.2% to 14,740 million yen, EBITDA is expected to rise by 32.5% to 2,500 million yen, and operating profit by 37.5% to 1,700 million yen.

First, the legal industry has undergone significant changes due to judicial system reforms since 2000, including the deregulation of lawyer advertising, the liberalization of lawyer fees, and the implementation of new bar exams. As the number of lawyers has increased, the demand for marketing among lawyers has risen, leading to further customer development. The lawyer fee market has been expanding since 2000 and is expected to continue on an upward trend. With a favorable market environment, the legal domain is promoting collaboration with the Lawyer Dot Com Group, Case Law Secretary, and Legal Revolution, and cross-selling is progressing smoothly to secure stable revenue. Moreover, while the electronic contract market, including Cloud Sign, is spreading among listed companies, not all departments within individual companies are utilizing it, leading to low utilization rates. By increasing the utilization rate within companies, there remains considerable potential for revenue and profit growth, as solid earnings build up from the increase in contract transmission numbers. As growth continues in each business such as Cloud Sign, attention should be paid to the company's future.
