On January 9, GTI disclosed the sales data of its main products for December 2024. The total sales of camera modules reached 31.979 million units, a decrease of 23.1% month-on-month and a decrease of 10.7% year-on-year; among them, sales of mobile phone camera modules were 30.595 million units, a decrease of 24.1% month-on-month and a decrease of 12.4% year-on-year. The sales volume of fingerprint recognition modules totaled 20.394 million units, a year-on-year increase of 95.8%.
The decrease in sales volume of camera modules month-on-month and year-on-year is mainly due to customer project cycle factors. The significant year-on-year growth in sales of camera modules in other fields is mainly due to the substantial year-on-year increase in sales of in-vehicle camera modules.
The sales volume of fingerprint recognition modules increased both month-on-month and year-on-year, mainly due to customer project cycles, as well as the gradual large-scale mass production of the group's ultrasonic fingerprint recognition module projects and the rising market share of fingerprint recognition module business.
