Sina Technology reported that in the early hours of January 10, during the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2025), Luca Rossi, Executive Vice President of LENOVO GROUP and President of the Intelligent Devices Business Group (IDG), pointed out in communication with Sina Technology that over the next five years, some entirely new forms of AI PC devices will emerge. "These forms may not completely replace traditional devices, but they could become important new forms."
Taking the current mobile PCs as an example, he pointed out that there are still some limitations in today's PCs, such as the need for a keyboard. However, if the keyboard were to disappear, the form of such devices could change completely.
Additionally, Luca Rossi gave a higher evaluation of AI glasses. He believes that "in the long term, AI glasses will have significant development potential. Although there are currently many technical barriers, such as Battery life and heat dissipation performance, as technology advances, AI glasses will become very important within 5 to 10 years."
However, he does not believe that AI glasses will become a very important platform by 2025, as there are still many obstacles to overcome that need to be addressed.
In Luca Rossi's view, AI glasses will definitely be able to compete with Smart Phones in the future, becoming a major platform for hundreds of millions of users, but this is a more long-term vision that requires technology to truly mature.
