The 2025 edition of the DAIKIN AIR Calendar, titled 'AIR - Listening to the Voice of Air,' produced by DAIKIN INDUSTRIES, LTD. Unsponsored ADR, received the highest award, the 'Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Award,' at the 76th National Calendar Exhibition.
The National Calendar Exhibition (organized by the Japan Printing Industry Federation and Sankei Shimbun) is a competition that honors works with exceptional printing technology, planning, design, or functionality and practicality, and has been held annually since 1950.
The DAIKIN AIR Calendar won the 'Gold Award' in the second category, which evaluates promotional calendars for general consumers. Furthermore, it was selected for the highest prize, the 'Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Award,' awarded to particularly outstanding works in design and printing technology.
DAIKIN has been producing calendars since 1955 with the concept of allowing people to experience high-quality air and fostering greater interest in air, marking its 70th anniversary this year.
For the 2025 edition, DAIKIN chose photographer Junji Takasago, who continues to shoot the entire planet as a partner, to express DAIKIN's ideal of 'high-quality air' through transparent works capturing majestic nature.
Takasago says, 'Air has something that moves people's hearts.' In a specially created interview page that facilitates conveying the atmosphere of the work, Takasago also shares, 'By becoming one with nature, the senses are sharpened, allowing one to hear the many 'voices' that overflow in the air.' One can experience the resonance of his passion for the works and DAIKIN's passion for air.
With the hope that users can live comfortably while skillfully adapting to the changing climate of the four seasons, the DAIKIN AIR Calendar incorporates weather forecasts for eight cities across the country for each date. These forecasts are based on 30 years of observational data from the Japan Meteorological Agency, analyzed and created using unique technologies by the Japan Meteorological Corporation.
DAIKIN will continue to deliver the charm and new value of air to everyone in various forms as a company that finds answers through air.
At the National Calendar Exhibition, there are three categories for corporate and general consumers, from which 'Gold' and 'Silver' awards are selected.[DAIKIN AIR Calendar Site]
