Ford Motor CEO Jim Farley stated on Thursday evening local time that, despite the challenging market environment, the company still achieved a profit of approximately 0.6 billion USD from its business in China last year.
"I am happy to say that Ford made money in China, and I am very proud of this because not many (Auto Manufacturers) can say that," Farley said after showcasing a vehicle at the Detroit Auto Show.
Farley mentioned that these profits include exports of vehicles such as the Lincoln Nautilus, which is specifically produced in China for markets like the USA and Other.
Ford generally does not disclose profits by region, but Farley had previously boasted about the company's growing "light asset" Global Strategy in China.
