By Peugeot Citroen and Fiat ChryslerThe merged Stellantis announced on Thursday that it plans to invest more than 30 billion euros in electric vehicles and related software by 2025.
The company said it would launch a series of cars that can travel 500 miles on a single charge, and plans to build five battery plants in Europe and the United States by 2030.
The company said it hoped to sell 70 per cent of low-emission vehicles in Europe and 40 per cent in the US by 2030.
