Louisiana is in a state of emergency.
Overseas Network, August 30Us President Joe Biden announced a major disaster in Louisiana on the 29th local time and ordered assistance to all levels of places affected by Hurricane Ida, Fox News reported.
The White House says emergency assistance includes temporary housing and home maintenance grants, microloans and other recovery measures to help businesses and individuals recover from the disaster. Earlier in the day, Louisiana Governor John Edwards Lifesciences Corp asked Biden to issue a major disaster statement.
