As NFT enters the public eye, Sotheby's will begin auctioning Bored Ape Yacht Club's NFT works on Thursday, with a total auction value likely to exceed $13.5 million.
Enthusiasm for NFT is at an all-time high.
OpenSea, the world's largest NFT trading platform, had a turnover of $3.4 billion in August, more than 10 times that of July, according to Dune Analytics.

In the past 30 days, CryptoPunks on OpenSea has recorded the trading volume of about 202000 Ethernet Falls. At recent prices in Tai Fong, the transaction volume is about US $800 million.
Sotheby's began auctioning more than 200 NFT works by Bored Ape Yacht Club with a monkey theme on Thursday, with a total auction price likely to reach $13.5 million to $20 million. The auction will last until September 9.
The lowest price for these works of art is more than $160000, based on the current price in Tai Fong.
In June, the art group PleasrDAO bought the NFT art "Doge" for $4 million. On Wednesday, the group began selling part of its ownership.
The "DOG" coin linked to the work of art rose 118% on Thursday, according to data provider CoinGecko.
