October 13th, BlackrockAnnounced the third quarter financial results. Blackrock Q3 had net revenue of $5.05 billion, compared with $4.369 billion a year earlier, up 15.59 per cent from a year earlier, according to the data.
Of this total, investment consulting and management fee income by business was $3.791 billion, compared with $3.072 billion in the same period last year. Revenue from securities lending fees was $152 million, compared with $153 million in the same period last year. Performance expense income was $345 million, compared with $532 million in the same period last year. Revenue from technical services was $320 million, compared with $282 million in the same period last year. Income from distribution fees was $401 million, compared with $288 million in the same period last year. Information business and other income was $41 million, compared with $42 million in the same period last year.
Operating income was $1.935 billion, compared with $1.757 billion in the same period last year, an increase of 10.13% over the same period last year.
Net profit attributed to Blackrock was $1.681 billion, compared with $1.364 billion in the same period last year, up 23.24% from a year earlier.
Q3 basic earnings per share were $11.05, compared with $8.94 a year earlier, up 23.6% from a year earlier. Diluted earnings per share were $10.89, compared with $8.87 a year earlier, up 22.77% from a year earlier.
Q3 assets under Management (AUM) was $9.464 trillion, compared with $7.808 trillion in the same period last year, an increase of 21.21% over the same period last year.
