0138 GMT - Hong Kong's $Hang Seng Index(800000.HK)$ rises 0.6% to 25183.04, thanks to gains in consumer and tech stocks. The index may trade within a limited range today, as Hong Kong blue chips did not show much improvement in the U.S. ADR market overnight, despite U.S. stocks performing well, KGI Securities says.
Consumer stocks are leading the gains. $Budweiser Brewing Company APAC Limited(01876.HK)$ advances 4.3%, $ANTA SPORTS(02020.HK)$ rises 2.8% and $LI NING(02331.HK)$ gains 2.5%.
Tech stocks are also higher. $Meituan-W(03690.HK)$ adds 2.2% and $TENCENT(00700.HK)$ rises 1.5%.
