Leonardo SpA on Thursday posted a lower after-tax profit for the third quarter despite a slightly higher revenue for the period, and backed its outlook for the full year 2021.
The Italian aerospace-and-defense company posted after-tax profit of 52 million euros ($60.4 million) for the quarter, down from EUR77 million for the same period a year prior.
Conversely, revenue rose slightly to EUR3.22 billion from EUR3.15 billion a year earlier.
New orders for the period amounted to EUR2.58 billion, up from EUR2.41 in the same quarter of 2020, Leonardo said.
The company backed a previously given outlook, confirming that it expects 2021 new orders to be worth EUR14 billion and revenue to be in the range of EUR13.8 billion to EUR14.3 billion.
