According to the license agreement, with permission from Shanghai Xinchuanghua, the group will use the “Ultraman” series of works and images in public spaces, theme plazas and other areas of Shanghai Haichang Ocean Park (Shanghai Park), including setting up an “Ultraman” theme hotel, theme restaurant, performance theater, theme exhibition, and theme store in Shanghai Park. In addition, Shanghai Park will also develop Haichang limited edition Ultraman products, float parades, AR applications, etc.; and obtain permission to sell limited products at offline stores within designated regions and the Group's official sales platform on the Internet. The license period starts on July 1, 2022 and ends on June 30, 2025. Under the same licensing conditions, both parties can renew the license within 60 days before the expiration of the license agreement.
According to the license agreement, Tsuburaya Productions Co., Ltd. is the copyright holder of the “Ultraman” series, and has legal, complete, and valid copyright for the “Ultraman” series in all countries and regions around the world. With legal permission from Tsuburaya Production Co., Ltd., Shanghai Xinchuanghua has the right to use intellectual property rights such as copyrights, trademarks, etc. of the “Ultraman” series of movies and TV works, works of art, character names, character images, and props, etc., and the right to re-license them to third parties in mainland China.
