  • 00:00 Tesla's already reported second quarter sales, which were, what, 5% lower than the previous year?
  • 00:05 I mean, there's better than expected, but nonetheless, sales have been falling at Tesla.
  • 00:08 What are you going to be looking for today then from these numbers?
  • 00:12 Yeah, we're looking for and Wall Street is looking for
  • 00:15 second quarter revenue of $24.63 billion and an adjusted EPS of $0.60 a share.
  • 00:21 Now the backdrop to that as you said is the
  • 00:23 the sales number which we got for the second quarter, it's the second time, second consecutive quarter on a year on year basis which sales have fallen.
  • 00:31 And so we didn't get much color at the start of the month when these numbers were released.
  • 00:35 So what exactly is driving these kind of sales for?
  • 00:38 But we knew this was going to be a tough year for Tesla and for your Muskie flagged that earlier, it was going to be a noticeably
  • 00:46 downbeat year on on growth.
  • 00:48 And So
  • 00:49 what can it do to try and stimulate growth as it goes through a transition period?
  • 00:53 Are we going to hear more analysts?
  • 00:55 Are they going to hear more about
  • 00:57 lower affordable
  • 00:59 kind of EV that Tesla has touted for a while,
  • 01:02 even more potentially on the robo taxi, which we were expecting in a couple weeks time to hear more from Tesla about, But we're going to hear more about that
  • 01:10 hope
  • 01:11 hopefully maybe by October.
  • 01:13 So there's been a bit of a delay there.
  • 01:14 But
  • 01:15 overall, the stock is a bit flat on the year, still better than it was down
  • 01:19 around 43%
  • 01:21 only a couple of months ago.
