About CLP HOLDINGS Company

CLP was founded in 1901 in Hong Kong, China, and electricity was still a new thing at the time. Today, with Hong Kong as its home, the Group has expanded its business into five major markets. We use world-leading technology to power millions of users every day. In Hong Kong, China, we operate a vertically integrated electricity business to provide 80% of Hong Kong residents with a highly reliable electricity supply. Outside of Hong Kong, China, the Group invests in energy businesses in mainland China, India, Southeast Asia, Taiwan and Australia, and has a diversified power generation portfolio including coal, natural gas, nuclear power and renewable energy as fuel. CLP's business goal is to meet the challenges of energy demand in the Asia-Pacific region from generation to generation in an economical, sustainable, and socially responsible manner.
