Citibank: Maintains CLP HOLDINGS "Buy" rating, lowers Target Price to 78 Hong Kong dollars.
Citi released a Research Report stating that it maintains a "Buy" rating for CLP HOLDINGS (00002), with the Target Price lowered from 80 HKD to 78 HKD. The company's net profit forecast for 2025 to 2026 has been reduced by 2%, mainly due to lower electricity prices impacting profits from China Business. Citi indicated that CLP's total profit for the entire year of 2024 is expected to rise 76.4% year-on-year to 11.742 billion HKD, higher than expected. Excluding one-time items and deducting fair value changes, operating profit is expected to increase by 8.1% year-on-year to 10.949 billion HKD; the dividend per share for 2024 is expected to grow by 1.6% year-on-year to 3.15 HKD per share, the first increase since 2020.
