The December HSBC HOLDINGS Manufacturing Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI, preliminary) stood at 57.4, surpassing last month's 56.5. Additionally, the HSBC HOLDINGS Services PMI for the same month rose to 60.8 from last month's 58.4. The Ministry of Finance recently indicated that the economic slowdown in the July-September period was temporary and that the growth rate would accelerate again in the second half of fiscal year 2024.
