China Star Group Holdings Limited (formerly known as CUHK Printing Group Holdings Limited), was initially a small company specializing in label printing. It was founded by Dr. Xue Jijie in 1979 and listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 1992. Until 1983, CUHK's printing business expanded to print labels and panels with 3M materials, becoming one of the few 3M authorized label processors in Hong Kong, China at the time. In 1987, with the increasing expansion of business, Yada Offset Printing Co., Ltd. was established to focus on printing color boxes, instructions, children's books, pamphlets and paper products to meet the growing market demand in this field. In the same year, a factory was set up in Shenzhen, China, equipped with modern printing and processing equipment, as well as quality control and product research departments to ensure product quality and improve production efficiency. The Hong Kong headquarters mainly provides sales, customer service and market development services. In order to further expand the Group's development, CUHK Printing Group purchased the music and entertainment business in 2009 and changed the group name to China Star Group Holdings Co., Ltd.
