The company, formerly known as Chongqing Paint Factory, was founded in 1931, restructured as a joint stock company in 1992, and listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange in 1994. The company is one of the comprehensive paint manufacturers with a large production scale and a complete range of state-owned enterprises in the paint industry. The company is mainly engaged in the production and sale of paint coatings. The main products are “Three Gorges” paint paint, “Three Gorges” brand general paint, industrial paint, anticorrosive paint, automotive paint, architectural paint, furniture paint, etc. Honors include the 2016 China Coatings Industry Development Potential Enterprise Award, the 2016 Coatings Industry Bole Award, the 2016 China Anticorrosive Coatings Famous Brand Award, and China's Top 100 Companies in the Coatings Industry. “2018 Chongqing Top 100 Enterprises”, “2019 Chongqing Top 100 Manufacturing Enterprises”, “Chongqing Health Enterprises”, and “2023 China Coatings Influential Brand”.
