Jiantao Group Co., Ltd. established its first factory to produce copper-coated panels in 1988. Since its development, it has more than 60 branches, and its business scope has expanded from copper-coated panels to printed circuit boards, chemical products, and various fields of domestic real estate. The Group continuously invests in plants and production facilities, plus an excellent management team and vertical production strategy, effectively manages resources, and enjoys the cost advantages brought about by the expansion of production capacity, thereby expanding the Group's market share. Jiantao is the world's largest manufacturer of copper-coated panels, the largest printed circuit board manufacturer in China, and one of the leading suppliers of chemical products in China. The Group has also successfully developed domestic real estate business in recent years, forming a more diversified business development portfolio. Jiantao Group was listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 1993, and its subsidiary Jiantao Copper Foil Group Co., Ltd. was successfully spun off and listed on the Singapore Stock Exchange in December 1999. As part of a strategic expansion plan, the Group also successfully acquired Elianda International Group Limited in November 2004. In 2006, the Group successfully spun off its copper-coated panel business, and Jiantao laminated panels were listed on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. A joint venture between the Group and CNOOC Chemical on Hainan Island was successfully put into operation in December 2006. Today, Jiantao employs about 50,000 people and is a multinational enterprise with an annual turnover exceeding HK$30 billion. The group was selected by Forbes magazine as one of the world's top 2,000 listed companies for two consecutive years in May 2011, and by Bloomberg Businessweek in May 2010 as one of the top 100 technology companies.
