The company's predecessor, Sichuan North Nitrocellulose Co., Ltd., was founded in 2002. It is a civil-military enterprise established by China Ordnance Industry Group Co., Ltd. to carry out specialized restructuring of its nitrocellulose assets. The company currently has three business segments: nitrocellulose, special industrial pumps, activated carbon and protective equipment. Since 2004, nitrocellated cotton has steadily ranked first in the world in production and sales.
