Yip's Chemical Group Co., Ltd. was founded in 1971. Formerly known as Hang Cheong Bank, it became a Hong Kong listed company in 1991. The Group focuses on the production and sale of chemical products. Its core business is solvents, paints, inks and lubricants. It is the world's largest manufacturer of acetate solvents, and is also the largest ink manufacturer in China and one of the leaders of domestic paint brands. The group is headquartered in Hong Kong, China, and has a group R&D center in Zhangjiang, Shanghai. More than ten different types of production plants are spread across the land of Shenzhou, and the product distribution network covers all major provinces and cities in China. Yip's Chemical's brands include “Bauhinia” paint, “Bauhinia” ink, “Hengchang Paint” industrial paint, “Lux” automotive lubricants, and “Bogao” special lubricants. Yip's Chemical is one of the constituent stocks of the Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI) China Small Enterprises Index.
