Xinyu International Industrial (Group) Limited (“Xinyu International”) has been a listed company on the Hong Kong GEM since 2000 (stock code: 8068). Since 1996, Xinyu International has established a production and development base for injection-molded precision molds in Hong Kong, China under the “Huike” brand. Having accumulated many years of experience in manufacturing molds and producing flawless plastic products, Xinyu International has always known the importance of environmental management in the production process. In 2006, Xinyu International began diversified business development and plans to invest in environmental protection and resource recycling business. In October 2007, Xinyu International acquired the absolute controlling and management rights of three environmentally friendly solid waste disposal centers in Zhenjiang City, Yancheng City and Taizhou City, Jiangsu Province, led by Zhenjiang Xinyu Solid Waste Disposal Co., Ltd., respectively. The three wholly foreign-owned enterprises currently have a total registered capital of 12.25 million US dollars. Since 2003, they have been engaged in the environmental disposal and comprehensive resource development of industrial and medical hazardous solid waste in Jiangsu Province. The total land area owned by these three environmental protection companies is 44,964 square meters (a total of 68) Acres), equipped with plant buildings, incineration equipment, and joint hazardous waste landfill facilities. In August 2008, Xinyu International acquired 38% of the investment interest in a developing environmentally friendly electroplating specialty zone project in Zhenjiang, mainland China. The project is named after Zhenjiang Huake Ecological Electroplating Technology Development Co., Ltd., which was founded in September 2007. The company currently has a registered capital of 31 million US dollars and owns an industrial park specializing in electroplating with a land area of 182,000 square meters (about 270 acres). In February 2011, the Group increased its interest in this environmentally friendly electroplating specialty zone to 98%. As of October 2015, the Group has wholly owned 100% of the capital interest in this environmentally friendly electroplating specialty area. The industrial park currently has an electroplating sewage treatment system, a sludge treatment plant, a five-story high-rise complex, and 22 three-story independent plants with a total floor area of over 106,000 square meters. Currently, there are about 50 professional electroplating manufacturers operating in specialized parks and are engaged in electroplating production that complies with national environmental regulations. Production sewage discharge is treated centrally through the park system to purify wastewater. In July 2011, Xinyu International established a subsidiary company, Xiangshui Xinyu Environmental Technology Co., Ltd., in Xiangshui County, Yancheng City. In August 2013, Xiangshui Xinyu became a Sino-foreign joint venture, and Xinyu International held 65% of the interest in this project. The subsidiary currently has a registered capital of HK$50.75 million and specializes in the incineration and disposal of industrial solid waste. In June 2012, Xinyu International established a Sino-foreign joint venture with local enterprises in Yancheng Dafeng, Yancheng Xinyu Huifeng Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd., which increased Xinyu International's interest in the project to 65% in August 2013. The project has now paid a registered capital of HK$66 million, specializes in incineration and disposal of industrial solid waste and medical waste, and has set up its own hazardous waste landfill. In June 2015, Xinyu International began investing in the construction of a new hazardous waste disposal center in the Suqian Ecological Chemical Technology Industrial Park in Jiangsu Province to meet the industrial waste disposal and emission reduction needs of hazardous industrial waste producers in Jiangsu Province and outside of northern Jiangsu. Since October 2007, Xinyu International has held 28.67%, 24.5% and 18.62% of the investment interests of Qingdao Zhongxin Xinhuamei Plastics Co., Ltd., Danyang Xinhuamei Plastics Co., Ltd., and Suzhou Xinhuamei Plastics Co., Ltd. respectively. These three companies are Sino-foreign joint ventures, mainly engaged in rubber dyeing business for large domestic plastic product manufacturers. These investments provide the Group with stable dividend income every year. Xinyu International's environmental protection business and customers span all districts of Jiangsu Province. Currently, it serves more than 1,500 manufacturers in Jiangsu Province. It is the most trustworthy partner for hazardous industrial waste producers. It disposes of hazardous industrial waste through incineration and reduces emissions safely. It also collects and disposes of infectious medical hazardous waste for more than 700 large and small medical institutions in the districts of Zhenjiang, Taizhou and Yancheng in Jiangsu Province to help stop the virus from invading society and serve the people faithfully.
