Wutong International Development Co., Ltd. (the “Company”) is an integrated enterprise (stock code: 00613) listed in Hong Kong. Its diversified business is divided into the following operating divisions: Financial services — holds Class 1, Class 2 and Class 9 licenses granted under the Securities and Futures Ordinance, and engages in the business of providing securities trading, margin financing services, futures contract trading and asset management services under the Securities and Futures Ordinance; Credit and loan services — businesses that hold a license granted under the Money Lenders Ordinance and generate interest income from segmented lending activities under the Money Lenders Ordinance; The Tactical and Strategic Investments Division trades and holds debt and equity securities to obtain interest and dividend income from investments in related securities; and The Property Investment and Leasing segment includes leasing properties directly owned by the Group to obtain rental income and/or potential capital appreciation. Brief history The Company was listed on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (“SEHK”) in November 1993. On June 12, 2019, the Company held an annual general meeting of shareholders and passed a resolution approving the change of the English name “Yugang International Limited” to “Planetree International Development Limited” and the adoption of the Chinese name “Wutong International Development Co., Ltd.” as the second name of the company.
