Comdank Solar Group is a professional solar silicon rod, ingot and silicon wafer manufacturer based in China and Malaysia, focusing on the design, development, manufacture and sale of high-quality solar silicon wafers. We are one of the first manufacturers in China that can produce N-type monocrystalline solar wafers with a thickness of about 140 microns on a large scale through certification from foreign customers. In 2000, we became one of the leading manufacturers of semiconductor wafers and began producing solar wafers in 2004. As demand for the high quality solar products we produce grows, we have turned our focus to the solar industry. We have successfully transferred advanced technology in semiconductor chip production, as well as our accumulated knowledge and manufacturing experience to the production of solar products, so that we can provide our customers with high-quality products. We make full use of our strengths originating from semiconductor chip manufacturers to concentrate resources on improving product quality and developing new and technologically innovative solar chips. With our outstanding R&D capabilities and semiconductor wafer manufacturing experience, we have developed unique long-crystal and ingot cutting processes and improved energy efficiency. We believe that long-term success in the solar industry depends largely on product quality and cost competitiveness, and that it all comes down to adopting superior manufacturing processes, so we are committed to investing significant resources into new technology development and continuous improvement programs. The Company was successfully listed on the Main Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (IPO) on October 30, 2009. As the only solar company that successfully completed an initial public offering on a major stock exchange in 2009 despite the challenging macroeconomic environment, we received support from investors around the world to further implement our plans to expand production. By the end of 2009, the production capacity had been achieved at 200 MW/year. We have built core production bases in Shanghai and the Hai'an Economic Development Zone in Jiangsu Province to expand our total production capacity to around 600 MW. Plans for the next expansion of production are also under construction, and the new plant will be located in Malaysia. With the completion of the production capacity increase plan, we aim to expand our global customer base and become a leader in the monocrystalline silicon wafer production market.
