World Group was founded that year in 1968 by Mr. Lee Da-hing. Its business includes cotton cloth and plastic household products for sale in the local market. In 1972, it began increasing production capacity and expanding production lines to export products to Germany, the Netherlands, France, the United States, Canada and Australia. In 1985, in response to domestic opening-up policies, the company opened a processing plant in Pingshan Town, Bao'an County, Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, China. In 1991, World Plastic Placemat (Baoan) Co., Ltd. was established with an investment of HK$220 million to establish World Plastic Placemat (Baoan) Co., Ltd., which purchased about 70,000 square meters of land in Pingshan Town, built its own factory, dormitories and offices and registered it as a wholly owned domestic company and purchased automated factory equipment and machines to carry out high-quality production. There are about 1,800 employees at the Pingshan Town plant, which cooperates with the Group to design, manufacture and market a variety of PVC and cloth household products to distributors, home designers, department stores and chain stores in countries around the world, such as Walmart, Kmart, USA Bed Bath and Beyond, Dollar General and Target and Europe and the UK's Woolworth, Tedox AndeDeka The registered capital has now reached HK$360 million. The company's shares were successfully listed and traded on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited in 1993. The stock code is 713. In 1994, it invested about HK$200 million to establish Nansu Building Materials and Plastic Products (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. and purchased about 210,000 square meters of land in Shanxia Village, Pinghu Town, Longgang District, Shenzhen, to build a factory of about 90,000 square meters to produce PVC pipes and fittings for the local and domestic markets. In 2002, another HK$130 million was invested to establish Nansu Building Materials and Plastic Products (Changshu) Co., Ltd., and purchased about 113,000 square meters of land in Shanjie Village, Wangzhuang Town, Changshu City to build a factory building of about 45,000 square meters to expand the supply of PVC pipes and fittings business to south-central China and similar regions. In 2004, it invested HK$110 million to establish South China Renewable Resources (Zhongshan) Co., Ltd., which owns about 140,000 square meters of land in Yongbian Village, Shaxi Town, Zhongshan City. Based on the production of traditional household products, the company established an expert team to develop environmental protection business and has obtained a number of technical patents. Most of the technology has been applied in production to achieve environmentally friendly and clean production, turn waste into treasure, and obtain economic benefits. The group is headquartered in Hong Kong, China, and has about 50 employees, managing domestic and foreign business. The net assets of the group are about 1 billion Hong Kong dollars, the total number of employees is about 2,300, and the annual turnover is about 1 billion Hong Kong dollars.
