China Rareearth Holdings Limited (formerly Yixing Xinwei Holdings Limited) is one of the largest producers of rare earth and refractory materials in China. The Group was listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on October 15, 1999, becoming the first privately owned rare earth and refractory materials producer in China to be listed overseas. The Group's operations commenced in Yixing City, Jiangsu Province, China, in 1987. Starting as a rare earth separation plant, it has grown into an internationally recognized manufacturer of rare earth and refractory materials and was awarded ISO 9002 certification in January 1999. Currently, the Group's production capacity stands at 6,500 tonnes of rare earth oxides (REO) and 100,000 tonnes of refractory materials. In addition, fluorescent materials, polishing powders, and high-temperature ceramics are also key product lines for the Group. The Group's production facilities comprise a rare earth separation plant and a refractory materials manufacturing plant. The rare earth separation plant operates multiple rare earth extraction production lines, utilizing state-of-the-art production and control equipment both domestically and internationally. The refractory materials plant is equipped with ultra-high temperature tunnel kilns, high-tonnage brick presses, and a line for producing unshaped refractories, all aimed at delivering top-quality rare earth and refractory products through world-class production equipment. The rare earth products manufactured by the Group serve as essential raw materials for a wide range of modern high-tech and traditional industrial applications, including electronic devices, computers, electric motor drives, liquid crystal displays, digital audiovisual discs, permanent magnet materials, magnetic memory devices, fiber-optic communications, superconductors, mobile phone batteries, precision optical instruments, and energy-saving and environmentally friendly products. Refractory materials, on the other hand, are extensively used in high-temperature processing equipment across industries such as petrochemicals, metallurgy, non-ferrous metals, glass, building materials, fertilizers, and cement. At present, rare earth products are primarily exported to the United States, Japan, Europe, and South Korea, while refractory materials are mainly sold domestically and exported to Japan. Major customers include General Electric, Nippon Electric Glass, Siemens, Shin-Etsu Chemical, Kureha, and many other renowned multinational corporations. The Group operates a specialized research and development center dedicated to improving existing products and developing new ones, supported by a highly efficient sales and marketing team that maintains close communication with customers and actively explores new business opportunities. Moving forward, the Group plans to develop more value-added, deep-processed products that are both environmentally friendly and meet market demands.
