Asia Tapioca Resources Holdings Co., Ltd. is an international comprehensive supplier of dried cassava. The group was founded in 1984 and has been the largest exporter of dried cassava in Thailand and the largest supplier of dried cassava in China from 2003 to 2014. The bilateral cassava trade between Thailand and China accounts for two-thirds of the world, while Asian cassava resources account for more than 30% of the cassava trade between the two countries. The group began purchasing dried cassava directly from Thailand in 2001, and began setting up purchasing points in Southeast Asia to purchase cassava, carry out warehousing, organize shipping and delivery logistics, and sell it in China under the “Yaho” brand. The Group has maintained long-term commercial relationships with more than 200 tapioca suppliers in Southeast Asia. The Group's customers in China are well-known companies in the domestic industry, including fuel ethanol, edible alcohol, and chemical products. Currently, the group operates nine warehouses and terminal facilities in Thailand and has branches in Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam. The Group has branches and liaison offices in five cities in China, including Rizhao, Qingdao, Jinan, Lianyungang and Shenzhen. The standard content of dried tapioca starch supplied by the group reached more than 67%, which is higher than the 65% starch standard set by the Ministry of Commerce of Thailand, and is favored by customers. The group also pioneered a “365 day open purchase policy” to purchase dried cassava at open prices, thereby ensuring a stable supply of cassava and enabling Thai farmers to receive a stable income.
