China Renewable Energy Investment Co., Ltd. (“China Renewable Energy”) is a subsidiary of Hong Kong Construction (Holdings) Limited (“Hong Kong Construction”). It is an alternative energy project developer with China as its main development focus. It is headquartered in Hong Kong and has an office in Beijing as an operating center for the development and management of Chinese projects. China's renewable energy goal is to become China's most trustworthy partner in alternative energy development. The current strategy is to focus on developing and operating wind power projects in China. The company not only has an excellent and experienced management team, but is also one of the pioneers in the growing wind power business in China, as well as strong project partners, including China Energy Conservation Investment Corporation (“China Energy Saving”). China Energy Conservation is one of the largest state-owned enterprises in China and actively participates in energy saving and environmental protection work. The company also cooperates with other local municipal power companies. Currently, China Renewable Energy owns and operates two 30-megawatt wind power plants in Mudanjiang, Heilongjiang Province (86% and 86.6% shares, respectively), a 49.5 MW wind farm in Sizi Wangqi Phase I in Inner Mongolia (100% equity), a 200-megawatt wind farm in Shanjinghe in Hebei Province (40% equity), and a 100.5 MW wind power plant (30% share) in Changma, Gansu Province (with 40% equity) and a 25 MW waste-to-energy plant in Shandong Province (accounting for 40% equity). China Renewable Energy is currently developing a 49.5 megawatt wind power project in the second phase of Siziwangqi, Inner Mongolia (with 100% equity), and exploring new business opportunities for wind power projects.
