Orange Sky Jiahe Entertainment (Group) Co., Ltd. (“Orange Sky Jiahe” or “Group” for short) integrates film production, financing, distribution and cinema operations. It is one of the most influential Chinese-language film entertainment groups in the world. Currently, it operates 89 cinemas with 662 screens in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Singapore, and is one of the major local film distributors. Formerly known as Jiahe, the group was co-founded in 1970 by Asian film magnates Mr Zou Wenhuai, Mr Ho Kwan-cheong and Mr Liang Feng, and listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 1994 (HKSE: 1132). In 2007, Mr. Wu Kebo became the largest shareholder of Jiahe through Orange Entertainment Group (International) Holdings Co., Ltd. In August 2009, the group changed its name to Orange Sky Jiahe. Since its inception, the group has produced and invested in more than 600 films, leading the film trend for decades. From large-scale production to small-scale art films, it has become a part of the growing lives of generations. The “Jiahe” brand is equivalent to high-quality movies, and Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan movies are the most popular. The group's superstars, such as internationally renowned directors Wu Yusen, Xu Ke, Tang Jili, Hong Jinbao, and superstars Zhou Runfa and Yang Ziqiong, have all collaborated with the group to achieve excellent results. The Group is the first Chinese-language film production company to successfully enter Hollywood and make a name for itself, and plays an important role in the industry. The English-language blockbusters produced by the Group as an independent producer have also achieved unprecedented success in Hollywood; more importantly, the current Western interest in Hong Kong films, particularly martial arts films, stems from many films produced by the Group. Orange Sky Jiahe holds an important position in the Chinese-language film distribution market in Hong Kong, China. The Group is also actively purchasing high-quality independent film copyrights for distribution in the Asian region. Currently, Orange Sky Jiahe has a library of about 140 sets of films. Since opening its first cinema in Hong Kong, China in 1977, the Group has been committed to providing the audience with the best cinema experience. In 1992, the group revolutionized the Singaporean cinema industry, opening Asia's first multi-hall cinema with 10 cinemas in the region. Taipei Xinyi Weixiu Studios, a subsidiary of the Group, is the first building designed specifically for screening movies in Taiwan, China. Since opening in 1998, it has been an entertainment landmark in Taipei. In 2009, the Group opened its first fully digital cinema in Hong Kong, China. After more than 30 years of unremitting efforts, Orange Sky Jiahe now not only has theaters across regions, but has also become the largest cinema operator in Shenzhen, Taiwan, and Singapore, showing the charm of Dream Factory to audiences all over the world.
