Gelonghui, November 22 – Leader edu (01449.HK) announced that for the year ending August 31, 2024, the group expects to record a net comprehensive profit after tax of approximately 18 million to 20 million yuan, compared to approximately 57.6 million yuan for the year ending August 31, 2023 ("previous period"). The announcement stated that the decline in profit is mainly due to an increase in financing costs. Due to the need for funds to allocate for the construction of schools and campuses and to support the group's general operating capital requirements, the increase in banks and other borrowings has led to higher financing costs for this period.
