The company, formerly known as Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone Tianbao Electric Power Company and Tianjin Tianbao Electric Power Co., Ltd., was approved and established by the Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone Management Committee in 1992. Currently, it mainly provides electricity, heat and other energy supply and service guarantees for the seaport area of the Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone and the grain and oil industrial zone in the Lingang region. One of the Company's wholly-owned subsidiaries, Tianjin Tianbao New Energy, is mainly responsible for integrated energy services, distributed photovoltaic power plant development and operation, and new energy business development; the Company's two non-wholly-owned subsidiary companies are Lingang Thermal Power and Yangzhou Qingchang. Lingang Thermal Power is mainly responsible for the supply and service guarantee of electricity, heat and other energy sources in the grain and oil industry area in the Lingang region. Yangzhou Qingchang mainly undertakes the development, design and construction of solar photovoltaic power generation projects. On April 27, 2018, the company was officially listed on the main board of the Stock Exchange, becoming the first state-owned energy operator in Tianjin to engage in cogeneration of heat and power steam, along with electricity, heating and cooling. After about 31 years of development, the company has gradually developed into a comprehensive energy service provider for the park located in the Tianjin Port Free Trade Zone, and has relied on its expertise and resource advantages in the field of energy supply, integrating innovation to meet the needs of park customers, integrating various clean and renewable energies to provide comprehensive energy solutions that cooperate with each other, such as electricity, heat, cold, steam, etc., to meet the overall needs of users, enhance the regional business environment, and help achieve the country's “carbon peak and carbon neutrality” strategic goal.
