China Ginkgo Education Group Limited (the “Company”) was incorporated as an exempted limited company in the Cayman Islands under the Cayman Islands Companies Act on March 23, 2018. Since its incorporation, the Company has been an investment holding company. The Company, its subsidiaries and the entity controlled by the General Agreement (the “Group”) is a higher education service provider in Sichuan Province. The history of the Group can be traced back to 2002, when Mr. Fang, the founder of the Group, based on his rich management experience in the catering industry and his foresight to provide higher education services focused on cultivating talents with practical skills suitable for the modern service industry, so he collaborated with Chengdu University of Information Technology to host Ginkgo Academy in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, under the name Ginkgo International Hotel Management School of the Chengdu Institute of Information Technology. In 2004, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, the Ginkgo Hotel Management School of Chengdu University of Information Technology became an independent college. In 2010, the Chengdu Ginkgo Hotel Vocational Skills Training School was approved by the Chengdu Municipal Civil Affairs Bureau and the Chengdu Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau. In June 2018, the Group entered into a contract arrangement for restructuring. According to this, the Company obtained control of the Ginkgo Hotel Management School of Chengdu University of Information Technology and the Chengdu Ginkgo Hotel Vocational Skills Training School. In the 2017/2018 academic year, approximately 9,553 students enrolled in the Ginkgo Hotel Management School of Chengdu University of Information Technology. After more than ten years of development, the Group adheres to the concept of “service development, knowledge and action go hand in hand”, with hotel management as its professional characteristic, adhering to the direction of multi-discipline and coordinated development of multiple disciplines and majors. By providing diversified courses and a wide range of practical training platforms, the Group cultivates high-end applied talents required by the modern service industry and has professional knowledge, cultural literacy, and strong practical ability, and is committed to becoming the setter of talent development standards in the Chinese hotel management industry.
