The company was incorporated in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, China on January 14, 1980. At the time of establishment, it was named China International Shipping Containers Co., Ltd. The company changed its name to China International Shipping Containers (Group) Co., Ltd. in 1995 after it was reorganized as a limited company in December 1992 and publicly sold A shares and B shares in 1994 and listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange. The Company's A shares were listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange on April 8, 1994, and H shares were listed on the main board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in the form of an introduction on December 19, 2012.
