China Gold International is a gold and basic metals mining company registered in British Columbia, Canada. The Company's main business involves the operation, acquisition, development and exploration of gold and basic metal minerals. The Company's main mining operations are the Changshan Hou Gold Mine (“Changshan Hou Mine” or “Changshan Ditch”) in Inner Mongolia, China, and the Jiama copper-gold polymetallic mine (“Jiama Mining Area” or “Jiama Mine”) in Tibet, China. China Gold International holds 96.5% of the Changshanchou mine, while the Chinese Joint Venture (“Sino-Foreign Cooperative Management Enterprise”) holds the remaining 3.5% interest. The company owns all interests in the Jiama mining area. The Jiama mine is a large copper-gold polymetallic deposit containing copper, gold, molybdenum, silver, lead and zinc metals.
