As a general contractor, the Group mainly provides civil engineering services in Hong Kong. The civil engineering works carried out by the Group mainly relate to (i) road and drainage services (including related construction works and electromechanical works); (ii) site preparation (including related infrastructure works); and (iii) seaport works. The Group undertakes civil engineering projects in the public and private sectors, and as a general contractor, participates in the procurement of materials, machinery and equipment, selection of subcontractors, on-site supervision, monitoring the progress of the project and overall coordination of the daily work of the project. As of March 31, 2024, the Group had eight projects under construction, and several completed but not yet received the final contract amount. It is estimated that the total remaining contract amount and project order value is approximately HK$810.8 million. The Group's coal transfer business through the “Belt and Road” project in Pakistan, where it has 20.3% interest, has diversified the Group's business and continues to bring good returns to the Group. For the year ended March 31, 2024, the Company's share of the “Belt and Road” project profit was approximately HK$20.1 million.
