South Korean government plans to expand fiscal spending to support the development of the semiconductor and K-Pop industries.
South Korea's authorities are seeking to increase government spending next year to support the economy, and have pledged to increase fiscal support for other growing industries such as semiconductors and South Korean popular music (K-Pop) entertainment.
Despite multiple policies to boost the stock market, South Korean individual investors still love to buy US stocks.
South Korean retail investors have bought about $9 billion worth of US stocks so far this year, while selling about $11.9 billion worth of Korean stocks during the same period, setting a new record. In order to stimulate the economy and boost the stock market, the South Korean government has announced a series of proposed tax relief measures this year, but retail investors in South Korea are not buying it.
