Kangda International Environmental Protection Co., Ltd. is a leading private company in China that invests in and operates sewage treatment facilities. It mainly provides customers with customized and comprehensive sewage treatment solutions and services using BOT and TOT models through service franchise arrangements. According to Frost & Sullivan, as of December 31, 2013, we have the largest total daily sewage treatment capacity in operation among private sewage investment and operation service providers in China; in terms of the daily treatment volume in operation, we account for about 1.0% of China's urban sewage treatment market. As one of the first private enterprises in China's sewage treatment industry, we have over 18 years of experience in successfully implementing sewage treatment projects for our customers (mainly the Chinese city, district or county governments or their designated agencies). We established our first sewage treatment project in 2003 using the BOT project model. As of June 13, 2014, we have been constructing and operating 48 sewage treatment projects under service franchise arrangements, including 33 BOT projects and 15 TOT projects, spread across 27 cities in 9 provinces and municipalities directly under the Central Government in China. The total daily sewage treatment capacity of the projects in operation is 1,460,000 tons.
